THE BOYZ Breaks Career Record with 740,000 First-Week Sales for ‘Unexpected’

South Korean boy band THE BOYZ has achieved a new milestone with their third full-length album, “Unexpected.” Their agency, One Hundred, announced on March 24 that the album’s initial first-week sales surpassed 740,000 copies, totaling 743,255 copies sold since its release on March 17.



This figure eclipses the group’s previous best of 600,000 copies for their second album, “Sixth Sense (Part 2),” marking a career-high achievement. The success also earns THE BOYZ the title of quadruple half-million seller, as “Unexpected” becomes their fourth album to exceed 500,000 sales, following their sixth mini-album “THRILL-ING,” “Sixth Sense (Part 2),” and ninth mini-album “Dohwaeseon.”

The music video for the album’s title track, “VVV,” has garnered over 25 million views within six days of its release, while the song has topped major domestic music charts, including Bugs Music, reflecting widespread enthusiasm.

Released on March 17, “Unexpected” encapsulates the group’s unpredictable charm. The members contributed significantly to the album’s creation, participating in songwriting, composing, and logo design, infusing it with authenticity. The album features a diverse range of genres, showcasing THE BOYZ’s broad musical spectrum.
