SEOUL — Jin of global K-pop phenomenon BTS has launched the promotional campaign for his second solo mini-album, Echo, with a detailed schedule unveiled on the group’s official social media on May 16, setting the stage for a highly anticipated release.The schedule, designed to resemble a musical score adorned with playful music symbols, has already captured fans’ attention. The rollout begins with the tracklist reveal on May 17, showcasing seven songs centered on band-driven sounds that highlight Jin’s versatile vocals. From May 22 to 24, three distinct sets of concept photos will be released, followed by a highlight medley on May 12 offering a glimpse of the album’s sonic palette. The title track’s music video poster and teaser will drop on May 13 and 14, respectively, with a D-1 poster on May 15. The album and its title track music video will launch globally on May 16 at 1 p.m. KST.

Intrigue surrounds two mysterious content drops scheduled for April 28 and 30, marked by enigmatic icons—a musical note with eyes and an instant camera emoji—sparking speculation among fans about potential surprises.

Echo explores life’s fleeting moments as reverberations, or “echoes,” spreading in varied forms. Jin’s storytelling, infused with wit and sincerity, aims to resonate universally. The album promises to blend emotional depth with his signature charm, building on the success of his 2022 solo debut, “The Astronaut,” which peaked at No. 51 on the Billboard Hot 100.

As Jin, the eldest BTS member, prepares for his first major solo project since completing mandatory military service in June 2024, Echo signals his evolving artistry.
