Song’s role in the fantastical romantic comedy marks her return to television and her first foray into historical drama.The Ghost Palace weaves a tale of Ye-ri (Kim Ji-yeon), a shaman who rejects her spiritual destiny, and Yoon-gap (Yook Sung-jae), her first love, whose body is possessed by a dragon spirit named Kang Cheol-i. Their lives entangle with a vengeful eight-foot ghost, sparking a chaotic battle for control over body and soul. Song portrays the young Ye-ri, a gifted but reluctant medium shaped by her grandmother, a renowned shaman. Ye-ri’s life spirals when she becomes entwined with the dragon spirit, setting the stage for the drama’s twists.

Song’s casting in the period genre had already generated buzz. Her agency, Encode Entertainment, stated, “Song Ji-woo will appear in the premiere, laying the foundation for Ye-ri’s story. We ask for your anticipation and support.”

With a robust filmography including dramas like Itaewon Class, Record of Youth, Happiness, and Extraordinary Attorney Woo, as well as films such as The Witch: Part 2 and Neulbom Garden, Song has steadily built her reputation.
