SEVENTEEN Gears Up for 10th Anniversary Comeback with 'HAPPY BURSTDAY'

SEOUL — K-pop powerhouse SEVENTEEN is set to mark their 10th anniversary with a highly anticipated comeback, unveiling their fifth studio album, HAPPY BURSTDAY, on May 26. The group announced the release with a detailed promotional schedule shared on their official social media on April 29, igniting excitement among their global fanbase, known as CARATs.


The promotional rollout begins with concept photos and films for HAPPY BURSTDAY, themed around "NEW ESCAPE" (May 1), "NEW MYSELF" (May 5), and "NEW BURSTDAY" (May 8). Fans can expect a tracklist reveal on May 13, a highlight medley on May 16, and two official teasers on May 23 and 24. The album and its title track music video will drop on May 26 at 6 p.m. KST, coinciding with the group’s debut anniversary.

A centerpiece of the campaign is the "B-DAY PARTY," a three-day celebration from May 23 to 25. The festivities culminate in a grand "BURST Stage" event at Seoul’s Jamsu Bridge on May 25, promising a spectacular tribute to SEVENTEEN’s decade-long journey. The schedule also teases “and more to come,” fueling speculation about additional surprises. The group’s popular self-produced content series, GOING SEVENTEEN, will return with a special episode on May 21, a treat for fans accustomed to its viral appeal.

SEVENTEEN’s innovative promotion includes a trilogy of immersive videos shot from the perspective of CARATs, depicting their journey to a mysterious party venue after receiving the group’s invitation. The narrative-driven teasers have heightened anticipation for what awaits at the destination.

The album’s title, HAPPY BURSTDAY, merges “Birthday” with “Burst,” symbolizing explosion, eruption, and new beginnings. It reflects the 13-member group’s resolve to reinvent themselves. A trailer titled “DARE OR DEATH,” released on April 28, showcased their bold transformation with intense visuals and garnered widespread praise.
