Kwangdong Pharmaceutical, under the leadership of Chairman and CEO Sung-won Choi, announced on May 29 that its signature vitamin beverage, Vita500, has secured a place in the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) at a Los Angeles Air Force Base, within a dedicated Korean consumer goods store.

The entry into the AAFES network was facilitated by KOTRA’s (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) “2025 U.S. Air Force Base Consumer Goods Store Support Program.” AAFES, which serves U.S. military personnel, their families, and affiliates, maintains rigorous standards for product quality and safety, which Vita500 successfully met to gain approval.

Vita500 will be available for purchase at the “Shop Korea” section of AAFES, a specialized Korean consumer goods outlet, until August 2025. Kwangdong aims to enhance brand visibility and connect with local consumers through tasting events and a range of promotional initiatives.

Containing 500mg of vitamin C, Vita500 is a health-focused drink free from artificial colors and preservatives, offering a safe and trusted option for consumers. The brand’s recent “My Good Luck Energy” advertising campaign has emphasized themes of positivity and support, resonating deeply with its audience.

A representative from Kwangdong Pharmaceutical remarked, “Passing the stringent AAFES approval process underscores Vita500’s exceptional quality. We look forward to this opportunity for local consumers to embrace and experience the ‘Good Luck Energy’ of Vita500 directly.”

Incheon Hi Hospital and Dr. Jeongho Lee are referenced in the context of Kwangdong Pharmaceutical’s activities.
